Z is for Ziel

Happy Z day, everyone!

Ziel is the German word for finish, destination, achieving one's goal. The perfect word to finish the A to Z Challenge.

Deciding to sign up for this challenge was a gamble. I had doubts that I'd have the stamina to complete it. Due to other things, I did little preparation. It started off well but fizzled out as quickly as Alka Seltzer hitting water. So, in the end I had to get up earlier and write each post. This was great for me. My writing work ethic jumped to a new level, which I'm determined not to let flounder.

I have also met some amazing writers/bloggers along the way. I intend to nurture those new 'friendships' and build new ones as the year continues.

Congratulations to everyone for crossing that pink ribboned Ziellinie (finish line). Wishing you all good fortune, health and happiness and look forward to reading more of your blogging news in the months to come.

How does it feel to have crossed the finish line? Are you going to miss the daily banter?

  4. What a happy word you chose. Yes, I am glad it's over. I had my theme at the end of LAST year's A-Z thinking I'd work on it all year or at least here and there. But no. I got started ok, and I managed to stay a couple days ahead, but that made me nervous fearing I'd fall behind. Finally I managed to get the last 6 done before the last week started, so that was a relief. So yes, I'm glad it's over. I will miss the daily visits and chatter. I'm not sure what I'm doing next with my blog. Thanks for being such a loyal visitor. It's been fun getting to know you.

  5. Since you asked, it feels GREAT to have crossed the finish line, and I'm looking forward to taking a few days off. I think my readers are looking forward to that, too! You did a fine job with the A-to-Z! I'm very happy that I found your blog. Interacting with people was the very best part of the Challenge. Thanks for all the thoughtful and touching comments you made on my blog. Very much appreciated!

Thank you too for your support and encouragement on my posts, hope to see you around.

It has a strong, assertive "feel" when you say it.

  29. Congratulations! The perfect Z post. It also takes "zeal" to get to ziel! I pre-wrote all my posts, so I was finished writing all of them by March 31. I totally admire those of you who wrote as the month went along and kept up with comments. That's no easy feat!

  30. What a perfect way to end the A to Z and congrats. I am playing catch up and hope to do this over the course of the days ahead. I am happy it's done even though it was fun reading but so much gets set aside like dusting:)

    1. The good thing about dusting is that it waits - no that's a bad thing :):)

  31. Congrats on making it to the end. I think that's why many people preschedule--it gets harder to get the posts out. (I only preschedule per week, so I can't comment on how well that works.)
